Overview

Campland is a campground that sits right on the shores of Mission Bay. It is a popular family vacation spot and families tend to socialize, while kids meet new friends. There are many area attractions, such as Legoland, the San Diego Zoo and SeaWorld (the park’s fireworks are visible from the campground). The campground is not as rustic as typical camping sites, offering a swimming pool, hot tubs, laundry facilities and Wi-Fi. A handful of parks are set inland and a wildlife sanctuary is adjacent to the property. Families can play many outdoor games and rent boats or bicycles to enhance their San Diego experience. Hungry World BBQ and Ice Cream Parlor offers delicious food onsite. Sites have RV hook-up capabilities. Families may want to look into the SuperSite — an enclosed private site with washer and dryer, whirlpool spa and phone line.

Cramped land

Overpriced parking lot, half dirt/paved, uneven spots, noisy from inconsiderate campers blasting music, and old smelly RVs, party central, there are better cleaner parks, do not waste your time or money.

Our favorite camping location!

I can not say enough about this amazing camping gem. I have a 4 year old and 11 year old. While there my 11 year old always makes friends and does all the things a kid should do at his age away from electronics. I never hear him say he'd rather be gaming or on his phone. There is something for everyone here, bay/beach with water toy/bike rentals, calendar full of family fun activities, arcade, gym, pool, park, stage with nightly entertainment, cantina/bar, ice cream parlor and the list goes on. It's always clean and the staff is always very friendly. I have so many fond memories going here as a child and thankfully its still here for me to pass these memories on to my children. Thank you Campland!
