The beach location is the best feature of this hotel what a great spot on the beach. We had a room with no balcony facing the car park but we did have a sea view, 7th floor. If you can stretch to it get a sea view with balcony, it was really difficult drying things without one. Only visited the restaurant once when it rained but it wasn't great had seafood lasagne that was basically pasta with crab sticks. The snack bar was good and all the staff lovely. Once you go out of the hotel you are hassled by people selling trips, taxis and drugs, they are all very friendly and leave you alone when you say no. You are close to ths strip so be careful when you go because it can get very busy. Overall a great stay at a lovely hotel.

Where to start with this. Well for starters I booked the trip through book up.com. I was told that it was Ana amazing 5 star resort. Sounded perfect. Fast forward to our arrival last week to be greeted by a pair of very aggressive salesman. Which was not that uncommon considering they are trying to sell timeshares. It’s what came next that shook my world unlike anything I have ever seen. My husband myself and my two girls were brought on a tour for us so percent mediocre breakfast and to see all the quality rooms that we were nowhere near staying in but they were beautiful on the side we were shown.
We were then taken back to a room where we were told that if we did not sign on with their timeshare that we would be expected to check out from our room at noon that day. None of this was mentioned in the book VIP.com contract, then they brought in the investor who tried to pretty much blackmail and extort money out of us by saying that we needed to pay for the full price of the resort if we did not sign with him right now. He appeared to look like something from a mob movie holding cigars in his hand and staring us down it was quite intimidating and actually felt quite dangerous. We finally excused our self and explain to him the numbers did not add up for our family, we have seen timeshare presentations that we have gotten into before this was not one of them from the very moment we met this resort the staff were unbelievably rude and the care that was taken with the facilities was that of someone who obviously had no idea what they were doing
We were scammed over 3000 pesos just to be allowed to stay in our room for the week even though we had already paid well over $6000 for a trip it was a bait and switch like I’ve never seen our room had a leaky toilet a leaky sink in the toilet didn’t flush for more than the entire week. The only two ATMs on hotel site were both broken the entire week. The upkeep this five-star resort and I see that loosely because I now come to find out that it is a five-star hotel not a resort as we were told by book the IP.com, that was frustrating as there were no activities the rooms were fairly disgusting and uncapped and not at all what we are used to when we travel. No all of this being said I want to make special mention of a few people we sincerely enjoyed papa Gustavo at the Las Velas restaurant . We continued to come back tonight after night simply because of his extraordinary service papa Gustavo is a huge asset to this resort and I hope they know that secondly there was a young lady server dressed in yellow and white whose name was Olivia she was absolutely fantastic and she made our day every day bringing us nachos and cheese burgers and just friendly chatting with us what an asset as well.. even on the last day we were to leave the extorted more money out of us saying we did not have a receipt proving we had given them cash the first day. I requested the cameras be reviewed as I remember the exact time and where I was standing, I was left at and told no.. If you’re looking for a low budget low maintained blackmail experience than this is the hotel for you I truly hope that the investors read the reviews and realize how much work they have to do before anyone is going to be enjoying their time at that hotel I am including some pictures which granted the ocean was beautiful and well taken care of and was definitely the highlight of the week. I have Included pictures of the resort and it’s mini state of disrepair, even the mattresses had no mattress pad covers. To say we were all a little heartbroken was to say the least. If you’re looking to for a dime store type of stay then this is the hotel for you.
