Meet the resort shuttle as your family steps off the plane, and enjoy a 15-minute ride to Sunset Royal. Facing the Caribbean Sea, the resort is a short walk to the center of Cancun’s hotel zone, which boasts many shops, dining and nightlife. Sunset features studio, one- and two-bedroom suites. All rooms have kitchenettes and are air-conditioned. Three restaurants and a snack bar by the pool will more than satisfy your family’s dining needs. Dinner can be fun and exciting at the Royal Theater, which hosts dinner shows every day of the week. Kids will enjoy the large pool, and parents the four steaming Jacuzzis. The Kid’s Activities Program runs daily supervised playtime for children. A specific Sports and Entertainment team plans activities for adults and children, such as kayak tours and water volleyball. Sunset also provides complimentary bicycles, and guided tours, for exploring the area. All-inclusive rates also cover many amenities, and use of the facilities at the nearby Sunset Royal and Sunset Lagoon.

BEWARE OF VIP TRAVEL CLUB AND THE SUNSET ROYAL CANCUN - IT CAN BE SCARY!
Imagine an All-inclusive dream vacation booked and paid for months in advance. I even paid for transportation from and to the airport too. Imagine that you are an owner at the Royal Sunset, you are excited to experience a fun and relaxing vacation with two of your best friends as your guest. It was supposed to be a luxury one-bedroom suite with an ocean view. Saturday is here and away we go, Cancun here we come!
Now reality hits you like a ton of bricks! No taxi to pick you up at the airport. It’s a long ride to the Royal Sunset and when you arrive, there is no reservation in your name. You show the front desk the reservations paperwork from the VIP Travel Club, but it’s worthless.
The VIP Travel Club office located in Cancun, Mexico, is an affiliate of the Sunset Royal (you buy into it when you become an owner with Sunset Royal). So, it’s Saturday evening and had to wait until Monday when the VIP office would be open for business. I had to pay an above-average price for a standard hotel room and no ocean view. Two and half-days later and I was still waiting to hear from the VIP Travel Club to resolve the reservation issue.
My friends and I packed our bags and headed to the Marriott Cancun to salvage our vacation.
DO NOT TRUST VIP Vacation Club/Vacation Unlimited to deliver vacation exchange services or any other vacation related services for that matter.

My girlfriend and I stayed 4 nights at Sunset Royal. It was a very relaxing trip and we really enjoyed the resort. The amenities and restaurants were nice, and the staff was very helpful. We spent most of our time on the beach. We got a cabana every day and the service on the beach was especially good, bringing us food and drinks regularly. In particular, Julio Isaias took very good care of us and he was very friendly. We would definitely recommend this resort.
