Grab a complimentary airport shuttle to the Royal Islander, which is situated at the highest point in Cancun. Spacious villas are classically decorated in a two-bedroom and two-bathroom layout. They can accommodate large families, fitting up to six people per villa. Fantastic amenities include large balconies and two entrances. Fully-equipped kitchens allow families flexibility to store leftovers or to cook a beach picnic. The Royal Market provides everything for your cooking needs, from snacks to produce, but you won’t have to cook with two onsite restaurants serving seafood and Mexican cuisine.
Royal has a bevy of unique activities for everyone in the family. Kids will want to spend some quality time in the large pool or the children’s pool. When, and if, they come out, take them to some of the daily activities planned just for kids. They can have a water balloon war or a mini Olympics with other children their age. Adults also have planned activities, such as snorkeling lessons and Aquaerobics. Families can also use the facilities at the bigger sister resorts Royal Caribbean and Royal Mayan nearby. A shuttle service escorts guests to these resorts and other nearby restaurants and bars. An onsite Travel Agency helps families’ book tours and excursions around town, such as Swimming with Dolphins.

This is a lovely hotel. It strikes me as a place that was quite spectacular once but has now grown older. It is the wife... other resorts, even its sister Royal Sands, are the sexy mistresses. The hotel just needs a bit of a facelift. A few extra perks to make it more special.

I hated it. Starting with stuff that only cares for Timeshare and ending with outdated rooms. Our floors and walls were wet. Beds smelled. Everything is just so old. It was our last night before airport and it definitely spoiled the whole vacation.
People are frontdesk just dont care. Manager walked in my room yesterday to see the wet floors and was rude because apparently it was al my fault. I had to ask her to leave.
Food at local joint was bland and cold.once again I knew what I am getting myself into, but this resort has 4.5 stars and it doesnt deserve it. Pay more and stay anywhere else.
