Situated among the sequoia trees on Lake Disney this lodge offers indoor and outdoor pools with waterfalls and slides, children’s activities at the Kid’s Corner and an outdoor children’s play area. Children can visit their favorite Disney characters at resort Meet ‘n Greets, dine with Goofy and Mickey at character breakfasts and head to the Beaver Creek Tavern or Hunter’s Grill for buffet and home-cooked style meals.
The resort is only a short walk to the Disney parks and the shopping, dining and live entertainment at Disney Village. After a fun-filled day at the parks retreat to your cozy and comfortable room, furnished like a log cabin with natural wooden furniture and gorgeous lakeside views.

Stayed for 2 nights / 3 days in a Golden Forest Club room (2 adults, 2 kids of 5 and 9) and had a brilliant time. Even though check-in was relatively quiet it was good having a separate check-in area. Room was fine for 4 with a coffee machine, kettle and mini-fridge. But we weren't there for the room or to watch the television. Only a short 10 minute walk to the park, with the distraction of Disney Village making this feel even shorter. Extra Magic Time was well worth it, esp on the Friday when it was slightly busier.
Paid an extra £100 for the upgrade to Golden Forest and it was 100% worth it. Breakfast is really good esp. as you have a separate room for it so don't have a slot or a queue. The afternoon snacks were okay (could do with some more types of sandwiches) and as sugar-heavy as you'd imagine. The ability to pop in there at any stage for a drink (hot or cold) and to put your feet up was also good, especially on our last day as our train wasn't until 7pm. Throw in an extra FastPass and £100 extra was a bargain.
Would I stay there again? Yes. Would I upgrade to Golden Forest? Definitely.

The amount of money the hotel costs is so worth it in terms of location, theme, excitement etc but the days in Disney are long.... a lot of walking, standing, carrying children etc it would be great to have a comfortable bed to sleep in to get up the next day recharged and ready to enjoy the park.... instead both myself and husband tossed and turned, even woke up with pins and needles cause the bed was so hard.... the service and friendliness of staff was great. Food pretty good too. Location is great! I know it’s hard to retro fit lifts into hotels but there’s one lift down to the restaurants which always has a big queue!
