We visited the grand bahia in October. We had a wonderful time. Sure it's a little dated but very clean.
Food
Buffett was pretty good. Always something good to eat. Steakhouse was good but not fantastic
We went to the Don Pablo twice loved it. The steak was delicious and tender. Our server Damien was very good. Knew his job and did it well. Always a smile .
Bars.
If you are looking for pleasant service this is not where you will find it
With a few exceptions we found the bar servers very unfriendly, lobby and pool.
Front desk
Always friendly and helpful
Kimmikong (spelling ) executive manager was the kindest and sweetest person we ever met while travelling, we travel 3 times a year. Husband has walking issues so she made sure we were in a room close to most things on the resort. Thank you Kimmi.
Golden club
Don't waste your money. When arriving there is suppose to be robes slippers beach towels and rum in your room
We had none of this. Brought this to the attention of ladies at the golden club and still did not receive anything. We arrived on Saturday and finally got robes on Monday after going to front desk to complain. Had to go to the air transat rep to get the rum which we received on Wednesday. We have always taken golden club at other Bahias we have gone to but this one didn't live up to expectations.
We will consider returning but will be sure to bring a wheelchair for husbands motility issues. Resort is big
