The hotel building is old and in obvious need of a major upgrade. Some kind of remodel was apparent from the building materials in the parking lot. There was, however, no evidence of this on the inside. The 2nd floor outdoor deck was undergoing some work, and this may have been what the building materials were for.
The hallway ceilings are ~7' high (i.e. low) with water stains in numerous places, broken tiles, poor fitting devices such as the fire alarm detectors.
The fire alarm pull station near to our room was hanging from the wires - definitely not to code.
There are strings of wires - possibly Cat 5 - strung along the hallways, where the walls meet the ceilings. Cheesy.
The "suite" we reserved with a supposed queen sized bed had what Europeans call a double bed. Larger than a single, but not as big as a queen.
The room was tiny.
To get to the shower, one had to enter the bathroom and close the door. The shower was behind the door! The floor tile grout is stained. The paint and texture on the sheetrock near the sink is showing signs of water penetration; soon the paint and texture will peel. The door hinges are rusted. The extractor fan sounds like a jet engine revving up for take off.
On a positive note, the shower water was hot, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. Or maybe we were just tired and slept well anyway. The hotel also serves a basic hot breakfast.
The hotel is very close to the Space Needle and other tourist sights, so is well located.
