Room itself was big and relatively comfortable. Minimal space to unpack. Slow internet. Tiny dresser and a few hangers. Decor was like an Native American owned casino.
Housekeeping was dismal. No vacuuming, no coffee pod replacement, ice bucket left full of water after room was made up the next day. I’ve had better housekeeping at a Hampton Inn for 20% of what this cost.
Grounds are a maze, no signage, too many steps, ugly fences high enough to keep out wild deer around the pools - toddler fences only need to be 3’-6” high - ugly, ugly, ugly. Big emphasis on selling seasonal stuff for Christmas - I felt like we were RV’ing outside a Walmart.
Staff was friendly but oblivious. At checkout I complained about housekeeping and was not even asked any questions about why I was unhappy. During my stay ice machine was not working near my room. I called guest services for ice and coffee pods. Someone shows up a few minutes later with coffee pods - I asked him to get me some ice and he went looking and found some. An hour later guest services sent me the ice I asked for - good thing I needed coffee pods. I was here for a business meeting. I would not stay here again unless I had too for work.
In fairness, if I was here for golf and swimming I might have liked the place better, but as a full service 5 diamond hotel I think it missed the mark.

Great resort. Wonderful place for a business meeting, I was there for a summit and I couldn't have been happier. Superb service. The linens were very luxurious, the newly renovated room I was in had everything I needed for a great trip. Comfortable beds. Loved having a balcony to overlook the garden area. I would definitely good back. Great food at La Hacienda restaurant. One of the best Mexican restaurants I've stayed in.
Family Activities
During the summer months, the Princess provides kids a place to have fun with water slides, zip lines and fireworks. The resort features five swimming pool, with special features like the SplashRider X-treme thrilling, spinning water adventure, while twisting watersides turn disco at the Techno Glo Party, and Dive-In movies are a family tradition.
The resort's lagoons provide fishing, remote-control boats and a 25 mile-per-hour zip line called the Zipper. Fireworks take place every Saturday from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
The Sonoran Splash Pool is available for younger guests with zero-entry and private cabanas available for full or half-day rentals.
The Trailblazers Family Adventure Center provides activities for kids 5 to 12 focusing on the culture and wildlife of the surrounding Sonoran Desert. Located adjacent to the South Pool, the center is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Its recreation center is open to all guests in the evenings from 5 to 9 p.m.
The resort also features five Plexi-Pave hard court tennis courts, with group and private lessons available. Four of the courts are lighted for nighttime play. A basketball court is also on property.
Family Dining
The resort features a number of dining options. La Hacienda is a casual dinner spot, while Bourbon Steak provides a more upscale place to dine in the evenings. Both feature gourmet menus developed by renowned chefs.
Breakfast, lunch or dinner can be found at the Grill at TPC or the Ironwood American Kitchen, both casual spots. The Grill at TPC overlooks the 18th hole of the resort's Stadium Course, while the Kitchen overlooks the South Pool.
Snacks can be found near the water slides at Sonoran Splash, a kid-friendly snack bar open seasonally.
Grab-n-go items can be found at the Princess Coffee Shop and Retail Market, and room service is provided 24 hours per day.
Mom and dad may want to visit the Plaza Bar for a living room-style, indoor/outdoor lounge with fire pits, light bites and cocktails.
