The first thing I noticed upon entering the hotel is how not ADA-friendly the check in and entrance experience is. You walk in and pick up your luggage to go up the stairs on your left to the check in desk. The check in experience was mostly ok. I asked if I needed a reservation at the restaurant and he said no, I should be fine.
After checking in I tried to go to the restaurant with one other person (party of 2) and they were full. They checked and offered us a bar seat for 45 minutes. Does that sound right? They book the bar too? Anyway, the food probably would not have come out in 45 minutes so we went somewhere else.
The room was very white. I appreciated the water bottles with the turndown service. The highlight of this hotel for me was the Le Labo products, which smell really good. The table with banquette was also good for sitting at and doing work.
For a high end hotel, I had a meh experience and would probably try out another hotel if I had the choice.

This was my third stay here. Ever since I discovered this hotel, this is the only place I stay when I come to NYC. The hotel itself is a nice comfortable place. But what makes the experience is the staff! Every single staff person at The Edition is the nicest, most courteous, accommodating, and "ready to help you in anyway possible" person - I mean every single person from reception to concierge to bar staff. And they always do special little things for you to make you feel extra welcome like they do at Four Seasons or Kempinski. The rooms are new, clean, spacious with plush towels, slippers, and robes. Great location too - central yet quiet. Highly recommend 01 rooms - spacious room with a view of Madison Square Park. Your guys are doing all the right things. Please keep it going strong. I will definitely come back soon.
