Overall, everything was fine and we had an enjoyable time. The staff throughout the hotel was very friendly and helpful, and this made for a pleasant experience. While I understand the rooms are old, particularly in the historic wing, I do feel some upgrades are necessary to live up to Omni standards and the price you’re paying. Likewise, the hallways were frigid...again, I know it’s an old building, but it was literally freezing to the point that I had to put on my winter coat on the long walk to the elevator, even if I wasn’t going outside. At the very least, invest in some space heaters to keep the guests comfortable. Also, we found at least 8 lady bugs in our room...thankfully, ladybugs don’t creep me out like other insects, but still not what we’d expect at an Omni. On the second day, we were out of the room all day, and housekeeping didn’t come until after 4:30pm. At this point, we were back and getting ready for dinner, so it was a bit of an inconvenience. We had dinner at 1796, and both the food and service were excellent. The food at Frontier Tavern was also good, but the $7 cup of chicken noodle soup was a joke. I could barely fit the spoon in the cup it was so small! Breakfast at the Crystal Room was also delicious, but $4 for what was essentially a shot glass of orange juice was a bit ridiculous. Overall, we had a nice stay, as none of these things were a big enough deal to ruin the experience for us. However, I do believe some improvements need to be made to bring it up to Omni quality, especially for the price.

Everything about our stay at the Omni was lovely. From arriving to the welcoming valet, to our room being upgraded, delicious restaurants and an incredible spa - we loved it all! The staff is all very kind and helpful and there are lots of things to keep you busy (or keep you totally relaxed).
