Elizabeth Fort has played an important role in Cork’s history since the early 1600s. Entry is free to this star-shaped stone fort, and every day there is a guided tour at 1 p.m. Families will enjoy learning about life as a solider, the fort’s history, photo ops with the stocks, walking along the fort walls and city views.
