Originally built for the Cork Exhibition, Fitzgerald Park is a 15-minute walk from the city center. Set along the River Lee, Fitzgerald Park features a tranquil setting that includes walking paths, a pond with a fountain, sculptures, a pedestrian ‘Shakey Bridge,’ formal gardens, and a playground with climbing walls, slides and swings. The park also houses the Cork Public Museum.
Hours
During the week, the park opens at 8:30 a.m. On Saturdays and Sundays, it opens at 10 a.m. For seasonal closing hours, it follows the following times: November to February, 5 p.m.; March and October, 6 p.m.; April and September, 8 p.m.; May and August, 9 p.m.; June and July, 10 p.m.
