A must-visit festival for any family, the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is a fantastical display of colorful, hot air-balloons. The annual event takes place every October.
Other festival features include chainsaw carving, live music and arts and crafts vendors. Families will especially love the 7-Eleven Balloon Discovery Center.
Tip: Go early for the Dawn Patrol, and if traveling with young kids, skip the stroller and bring a front pack instead.
