With only a few restaurants and shops, Malibu Pier strives to be a quieter counterpoint to the more tourist- and family-friendly Santa Monica Pier to the south. Though docking at the pier has been suspended for the time being, the pier offers fishing (there’s a bait and tackle shop) and even rod rental. No permits are required to fish from the pier. There’s also a surf and skate shop, a spa, and gift shops.

The pier is open from 6:30 a.m. to sunset, but businesses at the pier may be open later.

Parking

Parking is available, but rates vary by season. Street parking is also available, but fills up quickly.
