Gulf Shores Public Beach IS Gulf Shores, Alabama. The public beach stretches for miles, beckoning families to enjoy lazy days on the wide-open, exceptionally clean shoreline. Bring your beach tents, beach toys and picnic lunches; just be prepared to remove all of your gear from the beach each day, as leaving items on the beach overnight is prohibited (re: “Leave Only Footprints” slogan).
Also, note the flags that are posted along the beach. These indicate the safety of the water. Green means it is safe to swim in the water, yellow advises visitors to enter the water with caution, red means you need to stay out of the water, and a double red flag means you will be fined if found in the water.
Plenty of public restrooms and parking are available.
