The St. Simons Island Pier is an excellent spot to fish and crab right off the pier. The pier is partially covered so if you’re seeking the sun or prefer to be shaded, there are options for both. A bench runs along the pier, as well, so there’s plenty of seating. Nearby Pier Village is filled with numerous shops and restaurants and families will find Neptune Park, the oceanfront park with walking paths, two playgrounds, a shaded picnic area and annual events like the Fourth of July celebration.
