There are multiple business offering lake cruises, but the Lake George Steamboat Company has a fleet of three large, historic vessels: the Mohican, the Lac du Saint Sacrement, and the Minne-Ha-Ha, an authentic paddlewheeler. You can take a narrated one-hour sightseeing excursion, or a longer cruise with brunch or dinner with live music and dancing. There are themed cruises, like Taco Tuesday, Pasta Friday, and Sunday Champagne brunch, as well as a fireworks cruise every Thursday night throughout the summer, weather permitting.

The season runs from May through the end of October. Departure times vary by ship, but cruises generally from 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 p.m.

Rates
Tickets vary by type of cruise, but prices start at $20 per adult for sightseeing-only cruises. There are discounts for children ages 3 to 11 years, and infants 2 and under are free.
