Community theater at its finest, the Coaster Theatre has presented a wide range of shows year-round for over 40 years. During the summer, the actors will usually put on a big musical and a murder mystery, alternating shows each day between Wednesday and Saturday. It’s a small, cozy theater, putting audiences right on top of the action.
It’s not appropriate for small children, both because of the subject matter and the length of the plays, but preteens and above will love it. And with ticket prices in the $20-range, it’s quite affordable for a night of fun and laughter. Past shows have included “The 39 Steps,” “Little Shop of Horrors,” and “Into the Woods.”
