This is a great destination to inspire your children to careers in the STEM disciplines. In addition to some very visually appealing exhibits, your kids can operate a robotic arm to make repairs on the international space station or fly a jet through a wind tunnel — bad hair is a guaranteed outcome. After the kids and the adults in your family get their hands on a flight simulator, it will be difficult to get them anywhere else in the museum. Located just outside the museum is an empty MD-80 that has been retrofitted with surround-sound multiple screens that share the history of aviation and the science of lifting a plane and its cargo off the ground. Included in your admission price is a show at the adjacent planetarium. Closed on Sundays.
