If your family likes a good hike, plan to spend some time going up to Virgin Gorda Peak, where two trails through the woods (the lower is around 50 minutes, the higher around 25) lead you to a stunning view from the observation tower at the top. Sneakers/hiking shoes are a must: neither of the trails are flip-flop-friendly. Along the way, there are restrooms and picnic tables, so you can make it a picnic outing if you like. Just don’t forget bug spray and water!
