The DuSable Museum of African American History is home to a variety of permanent and temporary exhibits that educate visitors on African American history, culture and art. Families can learn about famous moments in history and about notable African American leaders, such as the Civil War and Frederick Douglas.

The DuSable Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. It is closed on Monday. Admission is $10 for adults, $7 for students (with a valid ID), $5 for seniors and $3 for kids between ages 6 and 11; children age 5 and under are free. Admission is free for all on Sunday, year-round.
