Gobbler’s Knob is the location of Punxsutawney Phil’s famous weather forecast on February 2 every year. The Knob is in a wooded area just on the outskirts of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, and thousands visit it in February every year, though it is also open year-round. Everything is left in place, so families who can’t make it for Groundhog Day can see the stage, Phil’s artificial tree stump, and the large “Punxsy Phil” sign.
Admission to Gobbler’s Knob is free and open to all ages, year-round. Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, is located 84 miles north of Pittsburgh and can be accessed via the Dubois Regional Airport, which is about 35 minutes away.
