Telluride Ski Resort in Telluride, Colorado, offers families more than 2,000 acres of skiable terrain. There are 127 trails and 18 lifts, and the area receives about 309 inches of snow per year. There are three terrain parks, one for beginners, one for intermediates and one for experts who really want to shred. Snowshoe and nordic ski areas are also available for guests, with rolling hills and serene trails. Additional activities include hiking, biking, rafting, ropes courses, fishing, paddle boarding and more. Specific kids activities include the Eco Exploration program, which is for kids ages 5 to 12 and offers indoor and outdoor activities, as well as a happy hour for kids, where kids ages 5 to 12 can hang out while parents and teens hit the slopes for a little while longer. The kids happy hour includes arts and crafts, ice skating and more. Fees apply for the kids clubs. Infants and toddlers who are too young for the mountain can spend time in the Cubs Camp at the Nursery. Ski schools are available for little ones as young as 2.5 years though, so toddlers can learn the ropes of the slopes early on.

Selections range from American and Italian to French cuisine, but all are family-friendly and located near the various lifts on the mountain.
Rates
Regular season, full-day tickets start from $112 for adults and teens ages 13 and older, $67 for children ages 6 to 12, and children ages 5 and under are always free. Half-day and multi-day passes are available.
Getting There
The closest airports to Telluride Ski Resort are Montrose/Telluride Regional Airport and Telluride Regional Airport. Both service major airlines from major cities in the United States. Montrose/Telluride is about 75 minutes from the resort, whereas Telluride Regional Airport is about 10 minutes by car. Many mountain hotels and lodges offer complimentary shuttle service to and from Telluride Regional Airport. There is free parking at the resort, though guests should utilize the transportation offered, like the Free Gondola which runs daily from 7 a.m. to midnight.
