The East Hampton Library is a great place to stop with kids on rainy days or when you simply need a break. Daily and seasonal activities are scheduled, such as pumpkin carving, movies, Bubbles-and-Babies story time and more. The children’s area was completely redone in 2013 and is colorful, with a large lighthouse sitting area, rug map of the Hamptons for kids to lay on, iPads to play with, shelves and shelves of books and inspirational quotes decorating the walls. Tip: Visit the East Hampton Library on the first day of your vacation for a schedule of events taking place during your visit.

Hours are Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday until 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.
