Gin Beach in Montauk is a kid-friendly beach with gentle waves and soft sand and offers restrooms and outdoor showers. Lifeguards are on duty from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Access to the beach is free, though parking may be difficult to find. If staying in town for a long vacation, pick up an East Hampton town-parking permit from a clerk at the Montauk Community Playhouse, located at 240 Edgemere Street.
