Ok from arrival I could tell that this was a very old building that had been given a new lobby and a coat of paint. the feel of the building was still of a quite old hotel. The actual room wasn't too bad.
I got a bigger than standard room which seemed nice and spacious. The main problems I had were, first of all, the taps in the bathroom would only go steaming hot, they would not go cold after waiting for 5-6 minutes, so i couldnt brush my teeth. Then the room service was horrible. I asked for avocado on toast with poached eggs, seemed like a good idea. They charged me $5 to bring any food to my room. The bread was soggy, eggs were overcooked till they were basically soft boiled, and the scrape of avacado was less than you would find butter on toast. and it all came in a paper bag like I had just ordered uber eats. I will never stay here again, this hotel makes the aloft seem good.
This hotel for a king room was about $380 per night, what a waste of money
