The University of California, San Diego is where you’ll find Geisel Library, named after Theodore Geisel Seuss — Dr. Seuss. While the library houses a Seuss Collection, it’s limited to researchers. Still, it’s worth a visit for the magnificent architecture — the building sort of resembles a spaceship — and family-friendly events. The museum hosts a Family Weekend each year, usually in October.
Additionally, Dr. Seuss-inspired structures line the campus — pull out your camera for pictures with The Cat in the Hat and even a statue of Dr. Seuss himself.
