The twice-daily pirate cruise in the summer months will be a highlight of silly fun for your kids from about 3 to 12 years old. For a full 90 minutes, the staff engages the kids in “talking like a pirate” and “peg-leg race” activities. From pirate face painting to a little lesson on nautical terms, your outgoing children will have a blast and you can sit back and enjoy the scenic views of the lake; very little ones may be frightened by cannon fire and teens will probably roll their eyes with disgust.
Other options include cruises with a simple narration on the history of the lake or a sunset dinner cruise. This may be a treat for your teens and a time to leave the little ones ashore. Cruises depart year-round, with special seasonal and holiday cruises for families. Prices are per person, and vary according to the cruise.
