Learn all about Pittsburgh history at the Senator John Heinz History Center, the largest history museum in Pennsylvania and an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution. Kids can trace 250 years of Pittsburgh history through the History Center. If you have a sports fan, they’ll enjoy learning about early and contemporary sports in Pittsburgh. Try your hand at throwing a touchdown, holding the bat of a Pirate great, getting a photo taken in a Penguins uniform or exploring any of the other interactive displays in the Sports Museum. Admission is $15 for adults and $6 for students and children 6 through 17. Kids 5 and under are free.
