For an evening out with older kids, check the Pickford Film Center’s schedule for family-friendly indie films. Founded by a group of local film-lovers, the Pickford features two screens and a café for post-film discussions and is known for its documentary selection, off-beat films and film festivals. February’s Human Rights Film Festival is a great opportunity to introduce teens to global issues, or catch the all-ages Children’s Film Festival later in the spring.
