Open Tuesdays through Sundays, this history museum showcases Santa Barbara’s original residents, the Chumash Indians, as well as the Spanish settlers who came through the area in the 17th century right up to modern day with more than 500 years of history. The museum is filled with antiques, artifacts, artwork, furnishings and costumes. Free admission, with guided tours, is available on Saturdays and Sundays. The museum is closed on Mondays.
