Fort Adams State Park is a beautiful place to spend an afternoon or better yet, an entire day. The historic fortress housed soldiers, families and their pets for nearly 150 years, and in many ways, the park still serves as a “home” to the travelers who frequent it.
Popular activities and attractions include daily guided tours (included themed tours and ghost walks; family rates are available), zip-lining, walking trails, picnic lunches and festivals — sailing events are particularly fun. Overnight programs for children are also available.
