At Mel Fisher Maritime Heritage Museum, located in Key West, you can feast your eyes upon silver, gold and other treasures pulled from shipwrecks and preserved for display. Many of the artifacts come from 17th century shipwrecks, such as Atocha and Santa Margarita. Special exhibits are also featured, and rotate throughout the year. Kids especially enjoy the permanent Harry Potter exhibit, called Harry Potter: Renaissance Science, Magic and Medicine.” It features pieces from the museum’s collection of Renaissance antiques, and focuses on the traditions of alchemy, astronomy and more.
