Ride an elevator up 103 floors to the top of the Willis Tower (formerly the Sears Tower) to get birds’ eye views of Chicago and Lake Michigan. The second tallest building in the United States, Willis Tower’s Skydeck is 1,353 feet above ground, and features glass boxes that extend more than four feet from the building, so visitors can actually stand above (practically in mid-air) the streets of The Windy City — if they are brave enough to make the first step! Skydeck is open 365 days of the year, from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. in the spring and summer, and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the winter. Of course, the folks at Skydeck Chicago have a camera crew on hand to snap your picture as you stand on the ledge, too, though this costs an additional fee.
