Oriole Park at Camden Yards

333 W. Camden Street, Baltimore, 21201 , MD

Who doesn’t enjoy a beautiful day out partaking in America’s number one pastime? Baseball is about so much more than just baseball, and a day at Oriole Park at Camden Yards is a perfect way to experience it; the smell of the fresh-cut grass, pretzels and hot dogs; the sting of defeat; the exhilarating rush of victory — It has all the ingredients necessary for a wonderful family outing.

Built in 1992, the Oriole Park at Camden Yards saw its 50 millionth fan in August of 2008, making it the fastest stadium in Major League Baseball history to do so. And since opening its doors in 1992, it has played host to the third largest number of fans in MLB history — behind Dodger Stadium and the first Yankees Stadium.

The stadium receives critical acclaim for its design, boasting great views for every seat in the house. And with the Orioles’ regular contention in the American League East Division, this season is sure to be a nail-biter!

Families will also enjoy access to a plethora of shops, restaurants and other attractions in or around the park. Check out the statue of former Oriole Babe Ruth in the outside courtyard, along with sculptures of all the other retired jersey numbers in the franchise’s history. Feel free to take a walk down Eutaw Street, home to several restaurants, stands and shops. But watch your step — for every ball hit out of the park onto Eutaw Street, a plaque is placed where it lands! Since the park’s opening, only 53 plaques have been placed on Eutaw Street. Can your family find each one?
