Located on the campus of the University of Massachusetts, Boston, this museum is much more than just a paean to one of America’s greatest presidents, it’s also a time-capsule of life in the 1960s. A well-curated selection of exhibits showcases memorabilia related to the late president and the times in which he lived, including regularly changing exhibitions of the space race and the changing fashions exhibited by first lady Jackie. The museum is also the unlikely location of the Hemingway Collection, the largest collection of Ernest Hemingway memorabilia in the world. Items on display include his African safari gear and no less than 44 handwritten drafts for the ending of “A Farewell to Arms.”
