On the windward coast at Oahu’s Kailua Bay, this beach is popular with wind-surfers, kite-surfers, and swimmers, as well as kayakers and stand-up paddle-boarders who paddle out to nearby offshore islands. The beach’s soft sand stretches out into warm, clear waters, and the fact that there are no resorts on this beach make it feel deliciously off the overly trodden path. Heed any warnings for Portuguese man-of-war and box jellyfish, which occasionally visit these parts.
