On Thursday evenings, the Villagefest is the place to be. It transforms the desert city’s downtown area into a street fair bustling with arty vendors, food, and entertainment. Many of the Palm Canyon Drive eateries and shops stay open late for the occasion. October through May, the fest starts at 6pm; it begins at 7pm from June through September. It closes at 10 p.m. year-round.
