Known locally as “Hendry’s Beach,” the dog-friendly Arroyo Burro County Beach Park is popular with local families. The scenic beauty of this beach is accentuated by the view it offers of the Channel Islands. There are BBQ grills in the picnic area. Watch out for tar on the beach, which isn’t a whole lot of fun to wash off of feet and swimsuits at day’s end.
