Wildwood Wildlife Park seems too modest of a name for what’s an impressive family-run zoo offering unique ways to interact with close to 750 animals. Kids love feeding the goats, sheep, camels and deer. This family-run zoo is large enough to house more than 750 mammals, reptiles, primates and birds, but small enough that it feels up close and personal. It’s perfect for younger kids in particular who can feed special crackers to the deer, camel, pigs and goats or start a feeding frenzy in the trout pond. Older kids can hold a glass bottle of special juice while a black bear greedily guzzles it down. Among the furry residents are wolves, bears, bison, tiger, leopard and zebra. The zoo opens from late April through mid-October, with budgie encounters during the summer months.
