Omni not only refurbished the hotel, but carefully restored the circa-1915 Donald Ross gem of a golf course. Ross is widely recognized as the premier golf architect of his time. Expect narrow fairways and small round greens that always seem to slope toward ruin. Yet, with those views of the hotel and the mountain in the background, it’s hard to get too irate.
