Construction is currently underway to refurbish some of the magnificent windows at Sainte Chapelle. Don’t let this deter you from entering. Look up as you enter this 13th-century Gothic church to spot the gargoyles. Then get ready to be dazzled by the amazing display of stained-glass windows on the second floor, especially if sunlight is pouring in. Long before there were books, each pane told a story from the old and new testament. Look for baby Moses, Noah’s Ark, and the head of a bloody Goliath in the hands of David.
