1. Liberty Corn Maze – Liberty, MO
This year’s design at the Liberty Corn Maze in Liberty, Missouri is “Wild West in the Midwest,” which highlights the Wild West in Western Missouri and the infamous American outlaw, Jesse James. Pick up a corn maze map and get lost with your family, while seeing if you can reach each of the checkpoints within the maze. Punch a hole in your map at each one to finish the maze as a Maize Master. If you get lost, just ask one of the Corn Helpers for directions. When you find the exit, let the kids try the smaller mazes, including rope, rock and sunflower mazes that are just their size. A family entertainment area also offers a playground and concession stands for refreshments. Liberty Corn Maze is less than 30 minutes from Kansas City, Missouri.

2. Winding Brook Farm Corn Maze – Warrington, PA
Pick up your trivia passport before entering the Winding Brook Farm Corn Maze in Warrington, Pennsylvania, not far from Sesame Place. The 5-acre corn maze for kids will test your knowledge as you wind your way through it; answer all of the questions correctly, and you’ll find your way out! If the corn maze has you confused, just ask one of the Corn Cops for help. Afterwards, let kids try the hay maze once or twice, and then hop on a hayride to the pumpkin patch. Concession stands offer festive treats for fall, and parents can pick up vegetables and flowers to bring home. If you have teens, plan a nighttime visit, when the farm hosts haunted hayrides and other events.

3. Linvilla Orchards – Media, PA
Families will love the two mazes at Linvilla Orchard’s Pumpkinland Harvest Festival. Located in Media, Pennsylvania, about 30 minutes outside of Philadelphia, the 3-acre corn maze for kids at Linvilla Orchards is somewhat more challenging than the smaller straw bale maze. The straw bale maze could take anywhere from 20 to 60 minutes to complete, whereas the corn maze could take 30 to 70 minutes to navigate. Once you’ve made it through, check out the many other fall activities for kids like hayrides, apple slinging (sling unsellable apples at targets), face painting, a pumpkin ring toss and pony and train rides.

4. Salisbury Farm Corn Maze – Johnston, RI
The corn maze for kids at Salisbury Farm in Johnston, Rhode Island—about 15 minutes from Providence—was the first of its kind in New England. The 5-acre corn maze takes families through about 1 mile of twists and turns. When you’re done, enjoy a free hayride (weekends only). A Moonlight Maze is also offered on Saturday evenings in October, and is perfect for young kids.

5. Robinette’s Apple Haus & Winery Corn Maze – Grand Rapids, MI
See if your family can navigate through the Man On the Moon-themed corn maze at Robinette’s Apple Haus & Winery in Grand Rapids, Michigan. When you make your way out, enjoy a hayride and then let the kids jump on the large blow-up pillow. Apple orchard tours are also offered, and parents can enjoy tastings in the winery.

The intricately designed corn maze for kids at Hogan Farms in Brownsburg, Indiana, about 30 minutes from Indianapolis, will challenge your family’s sense of direction. Once you make your way out of the maze, enjoy other fall activities like pumpkin picking, hayrides and a farm animal experience, which offers kids a chance to pet and feed pigs, chickens, sheep and cattle. Bring flashlights and check the schedule for the haunted corn maze attraction if you have teens.

Try the large corn maze as a family, and then let the kids test their sense of direction in the hay bale maze. You can also participate in corn maze games while getting lost on the paths. Collect clues and help solve the mystery of The Farm Scene Investigation. After finding your way out, enjoy the Family Fun Area, which includes an inflatable slide, farm animal area and pumpkin patch. Food and drinks are also sold at the farm for when you work up an appetite. Evening corn maze tours in the dark are also offered, and are not scary for little ones.

When you’re all done, head to the pumpkin patch and pick up a few pumpkins to bring home.

10. South Texas Maize – Hondo, TX
Try your luck at the South Texas Maize in Hondo, Texas, about 45 minutes from San Antonio. This corn maze for kids is 7 acres in size, with 12-foot-high walls! Pick up a passport before entering in order to strategically make your way through the maze. Answer all of the questions correctly, and you’ll find the exit; answer incorrectly, and you may be lost forever! The maze has two parts, each of which takes between 15 and 30 minutes to complete. Visit on a weekend and enjoy a campfire after the family corn maze, where you can roast hot dogs and marshmallows (fees may apply).

The 6-acre family corn maze at Tolmachoff Farms in Glendale is just 20 minutes from Phoenix. As you make your way through the maze, look for pieces of your map to help you put together the puzzle, which will help you find the finish line. Once complete, head over to the mini maze, where little ones can navigate their way through a maze just their size. The farm also offers a petting zoo, jumping pillow, spider web, pedal carts, bounce house and more. Train rides are also available for an additional fee. Evenings become a spooktacular event when the maze is taken over by ghouls—this experience is best suited for teens.

14. Scott’s Maze Adventures – Zellwood, FL
Located just 30 minutes from Orlando in Zellwood, Florida, Scott’s Maze Adventures at Long & Scott Farms offers families a plethora of cornfield fun. Weave your way through the 7-acre cornfield as a family and then let the kids try their luck at their own 1-acre mini corn maze for kids. The large maze has a unique design each year and includes confusing paths that will really challenge maze-goers, as well as trivia questions and picture rubbings throughout. After making it out, take the kids to the playground area, complete with swings, slides and tractor tires filled with sand. Wind your way through a 6-acre corn maze for kids in Southern Maine at the Pumpkin Valley Farm. Pick up a Passport before entering the maze for even more fun. Passports have 10 questions with multiple-choice answers, which will help guide families to the finish line.
