Overview

This historic home, built in the 1750’s, is located right in the heart of Sandwich in Cape Cod. While we don’t recommend families with younger children stay at the Inn, we do recommend it for those traveling with teenagers.

Aside from its prime location near all of the town’s best restaurants and attractions, The 1750 Inn offers guests excellent accommodations, top quality service and care, and superb breakfast. Each of the five rooms is uniquely decorated with tastefully bright colors and things like starfish, paintings and ornate rugs. Each room embraces the home’s rich history without lacking modern comfort and amenities. Rooms comes equipped with either queen or king beds, private bathrooms and comfortable furnishings. Some also come with fireplaces and decks, while others come with cable television and DVD players.

The inn also houses a small library of books that guests may peruse at their choosing, and there is a gazebo-covered hot tub behind the inn for guests to enjoy.

A fresh-cooked, gourmet breakfast is served every morning, and includes items like fritatas, muffins, pancakes, waffles, fruits, parfaits, breakfast meats and French toast. Guests have come back simply for the breakfast spread!

Practically perfect in every way

We stayed 4 nights in August at the 1750 Inn at Sandwich and had such a perfect time. The Inn itself is lovely and wonderfully and tastefully decorated throughout. Our room was ideal with a four poster double bed, ensuite bathroom and ample space. Our hosts Jan and Charlie were just fantastic and made us so welcome from the first moment. We had some lovely chats with them and all the guests and it was like we had been friends for years. The breakfast was just what we wanted, it was self serve, flexible, continental and healthy with tea, coffee or water whenever you want. We really enjoyed it.
The location was also idea as Sandwich is a quaint, picture perfect village away from all the hustle and bustle of other Cape towns, however it is close to a lovely beach, some great walks and is also an easy drive to wherever you want to visit.
We would strongly recommend this property and we hope to return again in the future.

Charming and delightful

Although we would describe the Inn in these terms, this is primarily our feelings about Innkeepers Jan and Charlie. A wonderful and congenial couple that make your stay an enormous pleasure. This was our second stay at the Inn and we will be back again.
