Spend New Year’s Eve at one of these great hotels, which offer packages with perks for even your littlest ones.
1. Kimpton’s Eventi Hotel, New York
Want to be in New York City for a splurge of a ball drop? Kimpton’s Eventi Hotel is offering a family package that is perfect for a large multigenerational gathering. The “It’s a Family Affair” package provides a group of 30 adults and up to 25 children with the Eventi Suite and Screening Room from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. on New Year’s Eve. Kids will get to enjoy video games, a full DVD library and snacks under professional childcare while adults celebrate the countdown with a five-hour open bar, passed hors d’oeuvres and themed tasting stations in the suite’s Living Room. There will also be board games and poker sets, as well as a large flat-screen TV for watching the ball drop. The package starts at $750 per adult, with guest rooms starting at $479 per night, and no additional charges for the kids.

2. Omni Grove Park Inn, North Carolina
Celebrate New Year’s Eve in the mountains and enjoy a party in Omni Grove Park Inn’s Grand Ballroom in Asheville, N.C. The New Year’s Eve Blast package celebrates with modern tunes and dancing at the 100-year-old resort. The package includes two nights of accommodations in a room with two double beds, breakfast at the Blue Ridge Artisanal Buffet, a New Year’s Eve buffet in the Grand Ballroom and entry to the party with live music, a DJ and dancing from 10 p.m. to 12:20 a.m., as well as a keepsake gift from the hotel. For the kids (ages 5 to 12), a supervised event also takes place, with crafts, swimming, games, movies, a bounce house and dinner from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. Rates begin at $668.50 per night, plus $95 per child for the kid’s program.
3. Great Wolf Lodge, Grapevine, Texas
Texan revelers will enjoy a trip to the Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine for its New Year’s Eve Snowball. The resort hosts the family-friendly event that includes a party with child-friendly activities, a balloon drop, midnight toast and more. When not partying in the evening, enjoy an 84-degree indoor water park amidst the resort’s own Snowland with falling snow, twinkling lights and festive decor. New Year’s Eve Family Suite rates start at $360 for the night.
4. Woodloch Pines, Pennsylvania
The family-friendly Poconos region is home to the also family-friendly Woodloch Pines resort, which offers a New Year’s Eve celebration for the entire family. Families will receive accommodations, daily meals, daily and nightly activities and entertainment and more. Starting at $385 per adult, per night, the party includes decorations, variety acts, live musicians and big screens showing New York City’s ball drop at midnight.
5. Kalahari Resort, Ohio
You have to figure a resort with indoor and outdoor water parks would make New Year’s Eve family friendly, and Kalahari certainly does. Stay at the Sandusky location and receive a two-night stay in a Hut or Nomad Room or Lodge Suite for up to four, admission to the indoor water park and a New Year’s Eve buffet for two adults and two children (4 to 12), starting at $630 for two nights. Kalahari is also offering New Year’s Eve events and packages at its other locations, including Wisconsin Dells.
6. Atlantis Resort, Bahamas
If you’re looking for a Caribbean getaway for New Year’s, there’s no better place to be than the Atlantis Resort, which offers a variety of holiday activities for all ages. Young kids can enjoy Atlantis Kids Adventures for the ultimate party, Abracadabra!, with mystery and magic (6 p.m. to midnight). Tweens (ages 9 to 13) will want to head to Club Rush for a Jungle Fever party that includes an apple cider toast and balloon drop (8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.). Teens will want to hit CRUSH for the Jingle Ball (8:30 p.m. to 1 a.m.). Adults can choose Aura or Dragons nightclubs for parties with champagne toasts. And all families can come together for fireworks over Marina Village and Junkanoo. The events are additional to room rates.
7. LEGOLAND California Resort, San Diego
Enjoy LEGOLAND California‘s special New Year’s Eve filled with all-day events and a special Brick Drop and Fireworks at 6 p.m. Stay at the LEGOLAND hotel and choose from rooms with Pirate, Kingdom or Adventure themes with stays that include the Bricks Breakfast Buffet and early admission to LEGOLAND. Rates begin at $649 for a family of four, including two-day resort hopper tickets.
8. Hotel Hershey, Pennsylvania
Visit the Sweetest Place on Earth, Hershey, Pa., for a chocolate-filled New Year’s Eve package. Stay at the Hotel Hershey and enjoy Hershey’s Chocolate World New Year’s Eve. The package includes deluxe accommodations, a kick-off dance party, New Year’s Eve Grand Dinner and Dessert Buffet, New Year’s Day breakfast, admission to the Hershey Story’s Museum Experience, and admission to all of the fun at Hershey’s Chocolate World. Room rates begin at $299 per night, with cottage rates beginning at $399 per night. A two-night minimum stay is required.
8. Grand Lakes, Orlando
Grand Lakes Orlando‘s Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott are both offering exciting New Year’s Eve events. At the Ritz, kids will love the Monster’s Eve Bash, from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m., that includes a dinner buffet, activities, costumes, laser tag, a PJ party, face painting and more. The bash is $125 per child, ages 4 to 12. Families can also enjoy the JW Marriott’s Lobby Lounge event, with live music, party favors and fun at no charge, from 8 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., and everyone can come together at midnight for fireworks over Grand Lake. At the hotel’s Citron restaurant, a New Year’s Eve buffet includes a special children’s buffet and champagne and wine bar for $85 for adults and $34 for children under age 12 (children under 3 are free). Adults may want to enjoy one of the many restaurants around the resorts, each offering a special menu and entertainment, including a Star-Lit Lobster Bake. Accommodations can be made at either resort (additional fee).
10. Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Resort, Maryland
A special New Year’s Family Celebration is being held at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Resort in Cambridge, Md., with special activities for families with children ages 4 to 12. Activities include movies, swimming, roving magicians, karaoke, and bouncy house fun before a “Mutts Gone Nutts” variety show with dancing dogs, jugglers and unicyclists during a special dinner show in the ballroom from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. A toast and balloon drop is held at 9 p.m. (as well as midnight for adults staying out later at the 21+ DJ dance party). The Family Fun Package includes all of the above, plus accommodations for four, starting at $169 per night. (Not including resort fee.)
