My husband and I stayed at the Koro Sun as part of our honeymoon, and I can’t rave about it enough. The property was beautiful and tropical, backing right up into the rainforest. We stayed in an edge water bure, which is one of the rooms overlooking the reef. We had a ladder right down to the water, where we could snorkel (wear reef shoes!!) and we had a hammock and outdoor bed for sunbathing. We purchased several packages prior to arrival (found that the best deals came from booking directly with the resort), including a romance package. As part of this, we had a couples massage in the rainforest spa, which was a short (and gorgeous) trek away and a champagne breakfast in our room.

We also got full board, which seemed pricey, but was the best option in retrospect because we ate whatever/whenever we wanted. It also covered seafood nights (fresh fish and lobster) so it was worth it. Drinks are not included.

The most amazing part of our stay was how personal and intimate everything was. All of the employees felt like a family and treated guests as such. Everyone knew our names, and they ran a lot of our activities - like the kava and coconut demos. They also sang to us when we arrived and departed (everyone in our van was tearing up with the farewell song).

We had the best time and only wished we would have had more time.

What an amazing stay with an incredible staff. I truly enjoyed everything about my stay at Koro Sun. From the very beginning, landing into Savusavu airport, our driver greeted us with a smile and was incredibly friendly. As soon as we arrived we were given a fresh coconut! While you’re away from the city, sound of cars, buildings, you’re able to soak in and appreciate all the nature! With so many activities available, we were never bored! The lounge is such a comfy place to chill and be on your phone or laptop. There are no TVs in the bure we were in but we weren’t there to stay in our rooms lol. It’s a beautiful resort to walk around and take in the gorgeous views! The food is really tasty. The menu is always different and we enjoyed every meal.

One of our highlights was the church activity. You do have to dress conservatively out of respect, but that was not a problem for us at all. This was a very spirit-lifting day. They’re voices were so beautifully harmonized and angelic when singing. They welcomed us and thanked us for being there!!! The kindness and love given to you is just so overwhelming in such a good way! It literally brought me to tears!!!!! I’m in love with this country and this island!

I also want to focus on the staff! Shout out to Penny, Melly, Kuki, Elijah, Ashika, Miri....just to name a few! But honestly every single person was awesome!
I mentioned it was my birthday and out of the kindness of their hearts they brought me a cake and sang to me while I was having dinner! They greeted me every morning by my name and always with a smile. These wonderful people are always there to help and serve you! It’s beautiful! I’m most definitely coming back!!!
