The first night of the package is spent at the Comfort Inn and suites in Campbell River. We in fact stayed here 2 nights and were very satisfied. We then spent 4 nights at KIL The float plane journey was spectacular and the lodge is set up to make sure all the guests requirements are catered for.. The rooms were not luxurious but very comfortable and the food was plentiful and of good quality but not gourmet. As a vegetarian I was very well looked after. There are drinks and snacks available at all times. The daily activities were well organised and had the weather been better and the salmon come back it would have been wonderful. This of course is not the fault of KIL and they did their best to ensure our stay was memorable. The wet weather gear could have been better, I was soaked through on one 2 hour boat trip. It was disappointing not to see the bears fishing for salmon but we did see numerous bear from the shore. We also enjoyed a wonderful whale watching trip where the guide even recorded the whales sounds! Although the trip was not perfect I feel very privileged to have seen bears and whales in the complete wilderness.

we spent 5 nights (1 in Campbell River) and we enjoyed every minute.
location: in a fjord called Knight Inlet, remote, far away from www and cell phones, just nature pure !
rooms: we had a room @ the corner, it was clean, rustic, cosy, spacious and had everything we needed
cleanness: top, everywhere, all rooms (dining, gear, recreaction, you name it) and equipment !
staff: all people there, with no exception, are qualified, with huge knowledge of fauna & flora, nice, helpful
F'n'B: full board, breakfast with live cooking and best salmon ever, lunch and dinner buffet style, absolutely delicious, happy hour with fantastic appetizers, free red and white wine with dinner, coffee, pops and snacks anytime available
equipment: life jackets/vests, safe waterproof clothing, rubber boots, walking poles and binoculars are provided
price-performance-ratio: absolutely fair, though it's not cheap, but worth every cent!
plus: landscape, wildlife, employees, activities, F'n'B, riding shotgun in the seaplane
minus: ??, nothing (no salmons in the rivers but that's not the fault of KIL)
all told: a stay we'll never forget and we enjoyed every second and can absolutely recommend it. If possible have a minimum of 4 nights ( or more :-) )
We thank all the staff who made our trip an experience of a lifetime, also a "big hug" for the all the animals which we're able to see.
